About the site
Who runs this site?
I do. My name is Andrea Rose Baker. I am an Army veteran and a student. I built this site on my own time to help veterans and their families. Read more on the About page.
Is it run by the VA or the military?
No. It is an independent project. No government agency, school or business runs it or endorses it.
Does it cost anything?
No. The site is free, and I make no money from it. You do not need an account.
Do you track me?
The site counts page visits so I can see what helps. It does not ask for your name or email. Events you save stay in your own browser.
Finding deals
Where do the deals come from?
I search public sources. These include business websites, city and county pages, VA pages, news stories and veterans groups. Every listing links to its source so you can check it.
How often is the site updated?
Before Veterans Day, the site updates on Nov 1, 5, 8, 10 and 11. After that, it updates on Nov 20 and 24 for Black Friday offers. Listings marked New or Updated changed in the latest update.
What do “2026 confirmed” and “Last year’s offer” mean?
“2026 confirmed” means the source names this year. “Last year’s offer” means the business ran it before but has not posted it for 2026 yet. Last year’s offers are hidden unless you turn them on.
What are nationwide chains?
These are chains and online brands with the same offer across the country. They show up in every state. Uncheck “Include nationwide chains” to see only local listings.
Why is my city or state missing?
I am adding states in batches. Some places have few public listings yet. If you know of an event, send it through the Report an error form. It is also at the bottom of every page.
Using the site
Can I save events?
Yes. Tap Save on any listing. It goes to My events. Saves stay on this device only. No account is needed. You can also share your list with a link.
What should I bring?
Bring proof of service. A VA Veteran ID Card, a VA health ID card, a DoD ID card or a driver’s license with a veteran mark all work at most places (VA.gov). Some places also take a copy of your DD-214.
Offers are often at participating locations only. Call ahead.
A listing is wrong. What do I do?
Please tell me through the Report an error form. Businesses change offers often. Always check with them before you go. See the Disclaimer.
Common terms
What is a stand down?
A stand down is a one- to three-day event for homeless and at-risk veterans. It offers food, clothing and health checks, plus help with housing, jobs and VA benefits (VA.gov).
If you are homeless or at risk, call the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-424-3838. It is free and open 24/7.
What does 100% P&T mean?
P&T means Permanent and Total. It is a disability VA has rated as 100% disabling and does not expect to improve (VA.gov). Some state benefits need P&T status. See State benefits at 100%.
How do discount sites like ID.me work?
Many brands ask you to prove your service through a site like ID.me or GOVX. Most are free. See Discount sites for a full comparison and more answers.
How do I avoid scams?
Be careful with anyone who asks for money or your records to “unlock” a benefit. See Scams to avoid for companies the government has flagged.
